Over the last two years, the Community Council of Pissouri, in its effort to make the community accessible in its entirety to people with disabilities, has embarked on a programme of actions designed to promote and strengthen the services and facilities it offers for the disabled members of our community and its visitors.
In co-operation with OPAK, the community council has carried out the re-design and marking of all parking spaces and included them in the Ablebook application, has created designated beach access corridors, has purchased a wheelchair for beach access and has undertaken the renovation of public toilets both in the beach and village square areas. These are just some of the actions taken by the village council as part of its outreach strategy to ensure proper access to people with disabilities.
