1978 elections resulted in Aristides Potamitis assuming the presidency of the Community of Pissouri, which he held until 2001.
Twenty years in a row, he led our community, leaving us fond memories and completing incredible feats. Even though he was somewhat ignorant, he was able to control the Pissouri Community quite successfully and in a way that was acceptable by the entire community. He approached and interacted with the villagers, who cherished him, in a manner that was exceptional.
Prior to accepting the Presidency of the Community, the late Aristides was one of the top executives in the village and participated in the majority of committees, including the SEAP, the Improvement Council, the Ecclesiastical Committee, and others.
