Places to Visit in Pissouri

Pissouri is filled with splendour and marvels. It is difficult to determine whether environmental, historical, or religious values should be prioritised. Despite this, the average traveller can cover all directions because there are so many desirable destinations.

Pissouri Amphitheatre

The Pissouri Amphitheater was constructed in 2000. It features superb acoustics and breathtaking views across Pissouri towards the sea, Akrotiri, and Limassol. It is situated in the middle of the village of Pissouri, just a short distance from the local bars and taverns.

Skotini Bridge

The area is located west of Pissouri village on the Limassol-Pafos Road. It features a, bridge which was built during the Turkish rule.

Neoklis Antoniades

This memorial was erected in honour of Neoklis Antoniadis, a Town Leader and significant figure in the history of Pissouri, in recognition of his numerous contributions to the community. Neoklis S. Antoniadis served as Pissouri’s Community Leader for fifty years, from 1929 to 1981.

Old Aqueduct

This historic aqueduct / Havouza can be found to the east of Ampelonon Street. It is a point of interest that enables us to comprehend the ancient customs and activities of the former people.

Ethinikis Exegersis Monument

The Octobriana monument was erected in Pissouri Square in 2016 at the expense of the Association of Expatriates and Friends of Pissouri. Niki Perikleous stated, “As the Association of Friends and Expatriates, we deemed it our duty to create this monument as a return of the least respect and homage to our militant forefathers.”

Flour Mill

The flourmill was built to support villages in the area , by milling the wheat. Flourmills functioned as the first sample of today’s bakeries.

Lime Furnace

The Lime Furnace and Gypsum Furnace in the area of Amaxotos provided lime and gypsum. The difference between limestone and gypsum lies mainly in their composition

Aristides Potamitis

1978 elections resulted in Aristides Potamitis assuming the presidency of the Community of Pissouri, which he held until 2001. Twenty years in a row, he led our community, leaving us fond memories and completing incredible feats.
